It’s fri-Yay! Weekend is approaching and many of us have already started making plans for the weekend!
Perhaps inviting friends over for dinner?
Not quite sure what to make for dessert, that is still a healthier swap?
Why not just jump on the bandwagon and celebrate “Chocolate pecan pie day”.
Yes, you heard right, it is time to celebrate “chocolate pecan pie day”.

Especially for those who have an incurable sweet tooth, Chocolate Pecan Pie Day is the perfect opportunity to indulge with a twist.
It isn’t even necessary to feel too guilty about grabbing a piece of pie, because pecans have all kinds of health benefits in them that they come by naturally.

In fact, pecans contain more valuable antioxidants than any other type of nut, plus plenty of fibre, minerals and vitamins to round out their nutritional value.
So grab some friends and get ready to celebrate Chocolate Pecan Pie Day!
NO BAKE CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE
Serv: 1 Pie
INGREDIENTS
Base:
2 Nuzest Vanilla Almond Protein bars
1 Nuzest Chocolate Peanut Butter bar
1 Serving Nuzest Clean Lean Chocolate Protein
1/3 Cup coconut oil
Filling:
1 and ¼ cups Pitted Dates (220g)
1 Tsp vanilla extract
1 Serving Nuzest Kids Good Stuff vanilla caramel
1 Tsp cinnamon
1/4 Tsp nutmeg
1/2 Cup coconut cream
1 Tbsp pecan nut butter or almond butter
Topping:
Melted dark cacao
1 Cup of pecan nuts
INSTRUCTIONS
Firstly, lightly crease your pan with coconut oil, set aside.
In your food processor, blend all the ingredients for the base layer until a sticky dough consistency.
Pour the dough into your pan, press the mixture down firmly creating your pie crust. Pop the pie crust in the freezer whilst making your filling.
For the filling used pre-soaked dates, this ensures they are soft and allows for easy blending. Blend all the ingredients for the filling until a thick paste.
Scrape the filling mixture into your pie pan and cover placing it back into the freezer for 20min before adding your final layer.
Finally add your final layer, by drizzling the chocolate and adding the pecan nuts.
Place the pie back in the freezer for 30-40min to set.
Option to add coconut whip cream when serving.
