All about your breakfast / brunch…


Unfortunately, in todays hectic lifestyle most often breakfast is overlooked as an important factor. Especially when it comes to your breakfast also being your post workout meal.



Is breakfast being seen as a way to rather grab something on the go that is convenient however most of the time you know it is not going to give you that nutritional award?


We can always plan and make that little time to focus on what we are planning to have as a meal. Therefore I made this simple yet easy breakfast smoothie, that does not require loads of time in the kitchen. It will literally take you 5 min tops.


Think of it this way. When you add more whole foods that are less processed over time you will have many benefits, some of these are:

Increased Strength

More energy

Lower cholesterol

Improved bowl movements

Balanced blood sugars

Less body fat

Less inflammation


And the list goes on….



So, if you are too busy to have a nutritious meal that is more whole food based, you are also too busy in becoming leaner and a better healthier version of yourself.

Create a breakfast ritual, make time, build your breakfast into your daily weekly routine.


This Strawberry creamy greens smoothie, is only a base foundation of what your quick breakfast smoothie can look like, the option to add two tablespoons of organic rolled oatmeal is also an option, you can even add a teaspoon of macadamia nut butter.


The main idea is that you have a foundation that is a whole food smoothie free from added sugars along with it being a good green alkalising base for you to add some of the above mentioned.

At the end of the day, we want to be mindful that our breakfast smoothie is a meal, not a drink on the side, secondly we don’t want to overload our smoothies with too much fruit. Therefore this greens smoothie, is a great base to start. It has no added sugars, added protein from the greens and of course the Clean Lean Protein from @NUZEST.


It is key to add the following to your breakfast. Fiber, protein, healthy fats, slow releasing carbohydrates. All these unprocessed Ingredients will keep you fuller for longer, provide your body with the building blocks it needs, along with adding fiber, water, vitamins and minerals to your morning meal.

INGREDIENTS


2 Handfuls of baby spinach

1 Large fresh strawberry

1 Whole zucchini

1 Cup broccoli (4 florets)

1 Cup of coconut water

3 Ice blocks or 1 Large strawberry ice block


INSTRUCTIONS


Blend until smooth. Sprinkle with some cacao nibs, fresh berries and flaxseed meal.
